Here you can see the reaction of cold destruction (expansion) of graphite, which is triggered by the initiator substance, due to which an autocatalytic chain reaction begins, in which the substances that were previously intercalated between the graphite layers are explosively released while moving the graphite layers apart from each other.
High temperature method.
Our technology uses flake graphite, which is treated by a special compound of chemical elements, as a result of which molecules of intercalated substances insert between the layers of graphite.
If graphite prepared in this way is exposed to high temperature, then as a result we will get expanded graphite.
